Wanted... searched...never found... : Ellery Queen books

One of the biggest problems in my continuous search for Foreign covers for Ellery Queen editions is not so much the language. As long as the Latin letters are used everything is pretty basic. The problem starts when an other alphabet is used: Greek, Hebrew, Cyrillic and Arabic alphabet come to mind (I'm not even including Eastern symbols). .. These covers I was able to find, (and I'm sure there are Ellery Queen editions) The exact original titles are the problem. For translation of the accompanying text I used a translation 'robot'. This resulted in some enigmatic jibbirish. This proofs to be a pleasant challenge in itself... Bear in mind that the dates could refer to a date of reissue. Here are the first requests: covers from Israel. Which Ellery Queen novel have these covers? The game's afoot! Thanks for the help Saul Masbaum who translated the titles from the covers and reconstructed the sentences to something more comprehensible... (dec 2008) Three down four to go...
	The Man Who Stole Shakespeare Cover 1 in Hebrew. Book is dated 1965 "Inspector Pinchas received an envelope of a thousand dollars to guard. Then why want to murder him?"
	The Poisoned Cocktail Cover 2 in Hebrew. Book is dated 1965 "The cheerful party was fatal to the very beautiful sister-in-law of Nora Taylor. The suspicion falls on Nora's husband. It is suspected that he planed to poison his wife but made a mistake." This must be 'Calamity Town'. Where newlyweds Jim and Nora Haight find themselves unwilling hosts to Jim's sister Rosemary...(dec 2008)
	The Mystery Of The Double Gun Cover 3 in Hebrew. Book is dated 1966 "The blank bullets in the gun during the duel killed the step-brother of the participant, a friend of Ellery."" The blank bullets mentioned gave it away...'There Was An Old Woman' (dec 2008)
	Avarice Cover 4 in Hebrew. Book is dated 1968 "Nafshi Spat the millionaire succeeded in swindling half of California with craftiness, murder, and blackmail. Inspector Glick arrives to investigate"
	Who's Murdered In The Snow? Cover 5 in Hebrew. Book is dated 1970 "Miss Hizwald went out of town for a vacation. She didn't return. Anonymous letters began to reach her sister."
	The Mystery of the Murder in the Gallery Cover 6 in Hebrew. Book is dated 1971 "A short time before his death from a heart attack no one knew who he bequeathed all his assets to, not even his lawyer. And then the will disappeared." A missing will from a man who died of a heart attack.'The Greek Coffin!'
	The Mystery of the Locked Door Cover 7 in Hebrew. Book is dated 1972 "The man who just won a literary prize and was about to get married and to inherit a lot of money was murdered under impossible circumstances"

Ellery Queen - International editions

There is a wanted page up in Dutch, so if you're up to it go there.

If you have crisp copies of editions in your country and could mail me a good scan (height of the image at least 768). The Q.B.I. section will point out which scans I have or don't have.
Perhaps in some foreign editions there might be some special artwork which might be considered special? Let us know!

But it's not all scans we want. We have been well aware of EQ international appeal and it is a painstaking work to catalogue all foreign titles on the correct page of it's original volume. If you could contribute here please do.
