Phil Nixon never really played on the Darts circuit despite being a former participant in the BDO World Championships. He qualified in 2007 and made his name by reaching the final and almost overturning a 6 sets to 0 deficit against Martin Adams. He has become an unlikely Darts star in his fifties!
